The Event

The commercial and cultural interactions between India and the Arab world dates back to time immemorial. The mutually beneficial interactions not only contributed immensely to the growth and development of economies of the two regions but also resulted in the enrichment of art and culture in both India and the Arab countries.

The continuous interactions led to dizzying heights being reached in architecture and paved the way for further development of newer lines of art and better techniques. This in-depth synergizing of ideas culminated into the evolution of culture and traditions that the rest of the world came to know as "Indo-Arabic" style of art and culture.

FICCI, in association with Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is organizing India-Arab Partnership Forum and the first Indo-Arab Cultural Festival during 2nd - 7th December, 2008. The forum has been envisaged as a renewed attempt to achieve new frontiers if relations in all its aspects between India and the Arab World.
